Troy and Banks signs green power deal for Marietta Corporation through a new partnership with Juice Energy
Beginning in September, the Marietta Corporation of Cortland, NY will be getting their electricity through a new two-year agreement signed through Troy & Banks, Inc. in conjunction with Juice Energy, Inc. A leading manufacturer of personal care products for the hospitality industry, Marietta Corporation will also be making their first purchases of green power as part of their new energy strategy.
Juice Energy creates custom energy solutions that take advantage of volatility in the electricity market while also focusing on renewable energy sources. With the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (REC’s) through Juice, the Marietta Corporation is effectively reducing their carbon footprint.
Troy & Banks is an energy consultant for the Marietta Corporation – this latest announcement is the result of their newly formed partnership with Juice Energy. Tom Ranallo, President of Troy & Banks, says: “we recommend Juice to help clients avoid the dangers associated with wild swings in the market.”
According to Ranallo, potential savings are just one reason why he is happy to introduce Juice to clients: “Juice takes an active management approach that not only saves a great deal of money, but also helps reduce the risks of an extremely volatile market. Add in a dedication to renewable energy, and the high level of customer service and you’ve got a company that is remarkably different from anything else out there.” Kevin Reitz, the Director of Global Procurement for the Marietta Corporation added “we’re very proud to be in a relationship that not only manages the types of risks all companies face today, but does so with an eye on the planet tomorrow.”
While the Marietta Corporation represents the first joint venture for the two firms, more agreements are on the way. But for now, Juice President Brian Hayduk wants the focus to be on the Marietta Corporation’s move to green energy: “We’re absolutely thrilled with our partnership with Troy & Banks, but we’re equally thrilled to be helping yet another business buy energy more efficiently, both for their budget and the environment.”
Marietta Corporation specializes in the manufacturing of personal care amenities for the global lodging market and contract manufacturing for leading consumer goods companies. Troy & Banks specializes in saving some of the largest corporations in the country millions of dollars by uncovering utilities and telecommunications overcharges. Ranallo noted that the complimentary strengths of Troy & Banks and Juice Energy will give Marietta Corporation a powerful new set of tools to manage electricity costs and meet the marketing challenges and risks of environmental leadership.
